Named on every page

Each entry carries the source it came from and a link back to it. If you want the raw data, go there: we would rather you used the original than trusted our copy.

What we accept

Public registers, official statistics, open government data and published datasets with a traceable origin. If we cannot tell where a number came from, we leave it out.

Maps

National map backgrounds come from swisstopo. The interactive maps use OpenStreetMap.

Licences

The rights stay with whoever published the data, and their licence applies. Where a source restricts reuse, we link to it rather than copying it.

Currency

Sources are re-checked on a schedule, and each page shows when its entry was last confirmed.
